# Understanding the Lizard Interface

The Lizard app features a clean, intuitive interface designed for easy lizard spawning and control.

## Main Screen Components

### Central Spawn Button (🦎)
- **Location**: Center of the screen
- **Single Tap**: Spawns one lizard with random velocity
- **Hold**: Continuous spawning for multiple lizards
- **Color**: Changes based on your current theme

### Control Buttons

#### Rain Button (🌧️)
- **Location**: Top-left corner
- **Tap**: Spawns a burst of multiple lizards
- **Hold**: Activates continuous rain mode for mass spawning

#### Stop Button (🛑)
- **Location**: Top-right corner
- **Function**: Pauses the physics aging timer
- **Effect**: Lizards persist longer than the normal 10-second cleanup

#### Clear Button (🗑️)
- **Location**: Bottom-right corner
- **Function**: Instantly removes all lizards from the screen
- **Use**: Performance optimization or screen cleanup

### Information Display

#### Statistics Panel
- **Lizard Count**: Shows current number of lizards on screen
- **Button Tap Count**: Tracks total taps (counts toward achievements)
- **Real-time Updates**: Numbers update as you interact with the app

#### Game Center Trophy
- **Location**: Floating icon on the screen
- **Function**: Quick access to achievements and leaderboards
- **Appearance**: Only visible when signed into Game Center

### Background

#### Dynamic Scenery
- **Time-based**: Background changes based on your local time
- **Morning**: Sunrise colors and lighting
- **Day**: Bright, vibrant backgrounds
- **Evening**: Sunset tones
- **Night**: Dark themes with stars or moon

## Navigation

### Tab System
The app uses a modern tab-based navigation:

- **Physics Tab**: Main gameplay area (described above)
- **Settings Tab**: App configuration and preferences
- **Search Tab**: Find specific features or settings
- **Support Tab**: Access help and contact support

### Accessing Tabs
- **Bottom of Screen**: Tap tab icons to switch between sections
- **Gestures**: Swipe left/right to navigate between tabs (if enabled)

## Visual Feedback

### Performance Indicators
- **FPS Counter**: Shows frame rate in development builds
- **Performance HUD**: Displays real-time performance metrics
- **Color Coding**: Green (good), Yellow (moderate), Red (needs attention)

### Audio Feedback
- **Sound Effects**: Confirming spawns and interactions
- **Haptic Feedback**: Touch responses on supported devices
- **Volume Control**: Respects device volume settings
